Syncing your old messages

This page is for Android, because it reads from your phone’s message inbox.

If the app was closed, or the permission was off, or you only just installed it, there are transactions sitting in your messages that were never recorded. This scan finds them.

Running a scan

1. Open Settings and tap Sync your old transactions.
2. Choose a Start date. The scan covers messages from that day until now.
3. Tap Start Resync and let it run. You can keep using the app meanwhile — a card on Home shows how far along it is.

Reviewing before anything is added

The scan adds nothing by itself. When it finishes, a Review transactions screen shows everything it found.

• Uncheck anything you don’t want.
• Anything that looks like something you already have is marked Possible duplicate.
• Tap the button at the bottom to add what you’ve kept, or Discard scan to drop the lot.

On the free plan

Going back further than a month is part of the paid plan. The last month is free to scan.

Tips

• Start with the last month and see what comes back before you reach further.
• Read the list before adding. Stopping a duplicate here is easier than deleting it later.

Common problems

No messages found — either there are no bank messages in that period, or the SMS permission is off.

Everything is marked as a possible duplicate — then you already have them. Leave them unchecked.

The scan stopped — open the card on Home and tap to try again.
